The Biodegradable Series:
Connected, Distanced, Changed, and Impermanent
This series started its life as a large installation designed for an art center in southern Vermont. It has since been transformed into an outdoor exhibition allowed to naturally weather on the Westford, Vermont Common during the pandemic winter of 2020, allowing visitors to view art in a physically distanced and serene setting.
It represents the connections we strive to hold onto, the distance we have had to observe, the major changes we have experienced in our lives, and the essential impermanence of everything. Yet it embodies hope that as we transition from this difficult season, year, president, disease, treatment of the earth, to new possibilities and paradigms, that we can and will emerge healthier and stronger.
